FIND YOUR WAY
We would love to welcome you to our showroom!
We are open by appointment only, usually Monday through Friday 10AM - 6PM.
We understand that travel or schedules sometimes necessitate weekend appointments. Please don't hesitate to let us know what you need. We will work with you to find a date and time that works for you.
There is plenty of free street parking.
Please be aware that our showroom is located in a historic building on the side of a mountain and there is unfortunately a flight of stairs that leads up to the entrance.
What to BRING
Your Current Instrument and Setup
(mouthpiece, ligature, reeds, etc...) to ensure you can get a direct comparison. If you have a small selection of mouthpieces, it can be very beneficial since different instruments can work better with certain mouthpieces than others. What works for your current instrument might not be best on the instruments you're trying out.
Some Sheet Music
Especially if you're not one to play from memory. Having a piece you feel will give you a good impression of articulation, tuning, as well as sound color and dynamics, is a great idea.
Extra Set of Ears
You're very welcome to bring a friend, partner, fellow musician, or teacher to your appointment. It can really help to bring someone who's opinion you value and trust.
We understand that selecting a new instrument or even new accessories is a very individual and deeply personal process and we have made it our business to create an environment that allows you to make a fully informed, heart-felt, and regret-free decision.
We stock a variety of brands and models that are designed for different players and offer different sound and feel.
After working with musicians for decades, we are here to share our gathered experience, insights, and knowledge of the instruments and models with you.
Whether we will be guiding you through our models and assisting you in your choice or simply providing the calm and quiet environment and selection of instruments for you to make your decision, we are looking forward to welcoming you in our showroom and being part of your instrument selection journey.

Run by Andreas Moe, German trained and licensed instrument maker specialized in historic restoration, overhauls, high end set-ups, and repairs, our workshop is based in the strong tradition of German instrument building.
40 years of experience in both Europe and the US have given him unique insight into both the technical and artistic aspects of the instruments and their creation. Combined with his background in music performance, his work has nurtured a deep understanding of players and their needs, and allows him to not only communicate effectively with musicians but also to seamlessly translate their vision into exquisite personalized set-ups and instrument customization.
We believe in the traditional craftsmanship of the instruments we carry, whether they are our own brands or ones we chose to distribute, and are here to uphold and build upon this standard of excellence.
We want to ensure every one of our customers has an instrument that allows them to express themselves musically without compromise.
And if you would like to have a clarinet made completely by Andreas - you can give Moe-Custom Clarinets a try.
